Construction Laborer – High-End Residential Construction

Location: Monmouth County, NJ
Job Type: Full-Time

Rate: $20 per hour (40 hours minimum)

Merrick Construction is seeking a dependable, hardworking Construction Laborer to join our team. We specialize in high-end custom homes and residential renovations throughout Monmouth County.

This is a hands-on position for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and wants to be part of a professional construction team. The right candidate will help keep our job sites organized, safe, and moving efficiently while assisting project managers, carpenters, and subcontractors as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites
• Load, unload, move, and protect construction materials
• Assist carpenters, project managers, and subcontractors with daily tasks
• Perform demolition, site preparation, and general construction work
• Set up and break down tools, equipment, ladders, and work areas
• Install temporary protection for finished floors, walls, windows, and other surfaces
• Complete job-site cleanup, including sweeping and debris removal
• Pick up and deliver materials when needed
• Follow company safety procedures and instructions from supervisors
• Represent the company professionally while working in clients’ homes and neighborhoods

Qualifications

• Previous construction or general labor experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
• Ability to work on ladders and remain active throughout the workday
• Dependable, punctual, and willing to work as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and respect for high-end finished work
• Professional appearance and behavior

Schedule

Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime or weekend work depending on project needs.
