Physician / Gastroenterology / Missouri - Poplar Bluff

The Poplar Bluff, MO Veterans Affairs Medical Center is actively seeking a BC/BE Gastroenterologist to provide comprehensive medical and selected specialty services for outpatients, inpatients, and nursing home patients at the John J. Pershing VA Medical Center and for patients from our associated community based outpatient clinics. This position will provide patient care to Veterans in the areas of Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology in the form of primary care and/or consultative care and will perform in a primary care setting, working with other physicians, physician extenders, nurses, and/or other appropriate staff supporting the VAs Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) model. This position will be responsible for administration of conscious sedation and will perform routine endoscopic procedures including EGD, EGD with PEG, colonoscopies, paracentesis, etc. Additional Information: Hours: Monday Friday, 8a to 4:30 p. On-call as needed Sign-on Bonus Paid Relocation Student Loan Repayment (Education Debt Reduction Program - subject to availability) Staffing in the department: 1 full time GI physician and support staff CME: $1,000 per year stipend for reimbursement + 1 week paid authorized absence (subject to availability)
