Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)

Location: Salem, VA

Job Type: Permanent Placement

Schedule: Mixed Shift / Nights | Rotating Weekends | Full-Time

Pay Rate: $31.70 - $47.54/Hour

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical-Surgical team in a leading acute care hospital. Opportunities are available across Med-Surg, Oncology, and Ortho-Trauma units. New acute care nurses willing to cross-train are encouraged to apply.

• ADN or BSN from an accredited nursing program.

• Active Virginia RN License or Compact RN License.

• BLS Certification required (or obtained within 30 days of hire).

• Acute Care experience preferred but not required.

• Strong communication, assessment, and critical thinking skills.

• Willingness to work rotating weekends.

• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition.

• Administer medications and treatments safely.

• Develop and implement individualized care plans.

• Provide direct nursing care to medical-surgical patients.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.

• Promote patient safety and quality outcomes.
