Join a leading manufacturer of specialty automotive tools and equipment serving professional technicians and distributors worldwide. Our Tools & Equipment Division in Derby, Kansas is growing and seeking skilled CNC Machinists to support our manufacturing operations.

This position works closely with our Manufacturing Team to set up, operate, and maintain CNC mills and CNC lathes while producing high-quality precision components used throughout the automotive industry.

Available Shifts

1st Shift

• Monday - Thursday
• 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
• 3 openings available

Weekend Shift

• Friday - Sunday
• 5:00 AM - 5:30 PM
• 2 openings available

What You'll Do

As a CNC Machinist, you will:

• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC mills and CNC lathes
• Machine parts to specifications using precision machining equipment
• Read blueprints, drawings, and engineering specifications
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using precision measuring instruments
• Inspect finished parts to ensure quality and conformance to specifications
• Monitor machine feeds, speeds, tooling, and performance
• Troubleshoot machining issues and recommend process improvements
• Align and secure fixtures, tooling, and materials
• Perform equipment maintenance and basic machine troubleshooting
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supervisory teams
• Support fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing projects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read measurements and use precision measuring tools
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment

Preferred

• 3-5 years of CNC machining or precision machining experience
• Experience operating CNC mills and lathes
• Blueprint reading and machining setup experience
• Manufacturing or machine shop experience

Training

• On-the-job training provided for specific job assignments
