Senior Creative Director, Brand Lab Studio

Purpose Brands is seeking a Senior Creative Director to lead the in-house Brand Lab Studio creative services for a multi-brand portfolio. This role blends creative leadership with studio operations, combining end-to-end delivery ownership with cross-functional partnership to improve creative quality, speed, and commercial effectiveness. What You’ll Do Set and maintain a high creative standard across Brand Lab Studio output, including brand, campaign, content, design, and production work. Lead integrated campaign ideation and new-product go-to-market creative from concept through delivery. Provide clear, actionable direction to designers, copywriters, editors, producers, and creative partners, balancing guidance, challenge, and empowerment. Own day-to-day studio operations, including intake, briefing, scheduling, prioritization, resource allocation, and delivery. Lead project management and implement workflow systems that increase speed, clarity, quality, and accountability. Build trusted visibility into utilization, capacity, and throughput so resourcing decisions are evidence-based. Manage workload and staffing across the studio, including decisions on in-house production versus external production vendors, freelance creatives, or agency partners. Own related scopes, relationships, and budgets, and develop the staffing model needed to serve the portfolio effectively. Act as the senior creative voice with brand marketing leaders and the marketing leadership team. Help teams write sharper briefs, evaluate work honestly, and choose the most effective creative approach or partner. Collaborate with external agencies as a senior peer, offering a clear creative point of view while respecting brand-level ownership and decision rights. Develop and execute a practical roadmap for creative tooling, workflow, and AI-assisted production to improve quality, speed, and consistency. Strengthen the content supply chain from brief through creation, adaptation, localization, versioning, review, release, and storage, with guardrails for brand integrity, rights, and governance. Hire, develop, and retain creative, production, and project management talent. Build a studio culture grounded in craft, curiosity, collaboration, and commercial impact. Define what good and effective work looks like with media, Research & Insights, and brand marketing leadership, linking delivery metrics with creative effectiveness and business outcomes. What You Bring 15+ years of experience across creative leadership and creative or production services, including meaningful team leadership. Experience running an in-house creative organization using a hybrid model that balances internal studio resources, external production partners, freelance capacity, and agency work. Proven ownership of workflow design, resource management, capacity planning, production spend, and budget management at scale. A strong portfolio and the ability to discuss work outcomes candidly, including personal role, lessons learned, and what could have been improved. Current, practical experience using AI-assisted creative tools and building modern creative processes that improve production quality and speed. Comfort operating at an executive level, influencing peers who do not report directly to the role, and presenting, defending, and adapting creative work with senior leaders. Compensation Base salary range: $X–$Y , dependent on experience and location, plus participation in the annual bonus plan.
