Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-acuity cardiovascular ICU nursing care for patients including heart and lung transplants, LVAD patients, and those recovering from coronary artery bypass and valve surgeries
• Titrate all vasoactive drips for cardiac patients and manage complex hemodynamic monitoring
• Operate and monitor advanced cardiac devices including LVAD, CRRT/SLED, Impella, and IABP
• Work within a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, with occasional 1:1 assignments in a high-acuity setting
• Collaborate within an intensivist model alongside a charge RN, respiratory therapy staff assigned to the unit, and PCAs
• Float to other units as needed based on competency and census

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with current ICU experience
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required
• Ability to titrate vasoactive and other cardiac drips
• Willingness to float based on unit needs and competency
• Availability for every-other-weekend shifts and holiday shifts as needed; no self-scheduling

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 3 or more years of ICU nursing experience, ideally in a high-volume hospital setting
• Previous travel nursing experience
• CRRT training and experience (training may be available for qualified candidates)
• Familiarity with advanced cardiac devices such as LVAD, Impella, and IABP
