Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM

Are you organized, dependable and confident managing the details that keep a business financially on track? We're hiring an experienced Bookkeeper in Kearney, NE for a full-time, Monday-Friday position offering $24/hour or more based on experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bookkeeping professional who values accuracy, works well independently and can confidently manage multiple financial responsibilities. No degree is required - strong bookkeeping experience and a solid work history are what matter.

What You'll Do

As the Bookkeeper, you'll be responsible for maintaining accurate day-to-day financial records and helping keep accounting processes organized and on schedule. Responsibilities include:

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions
• Complete daily books and cash register reconciliation
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Process vendor invoices, bills and payments
• Reconcile bank statements
• Monitor incoming and outgoing payments
• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation
• Track expenses, receipts and related documentation
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
• Communicate with customers, vendors and management regarding financial matters
• Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous bookkeeping or accounting experience required
• Strong bookkeeping work history
• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel and bookkeeping/accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while also contributing as part of a team
• Dependable, professional and trustworthy
• No degree required
