Associate Director, Field Reimbursement, Immunology Rheumatology - South

Field-based role. Candidates should live within the territory or within a reasonable distance from the primary city (Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Tennessee, Alabama, Georgia, and Florida). FRM Associate Director leads and develops a regional team of Field Reimbursement Managers who educate healthcare providers (HCPs) on AbbVie’s Immunology Patient Support Programs, emphasizing patient access and reimbursement inquiries related to AbbVie’s immunology portfolio. Ensures effective, compliant operations enabling timely patient access to AbbVie therapies. Key Responsibilities Manage, coach, and support the FRM team to deliver compliant, effective access and reimbursement services. Conduct field ride-alongs to assess performance, ensure use of AbbVie-approved tools, and provide targeted coaching. Collaborate with Patient Services, Managed Health Care, Sales, and Access & Reimbursement Hub to ensure consistent, compliant program execution. Integrate patient access programs into local/regional strategies; identify and address training opportunities. Monitor healthcare policy changes and communicate insights to the FRM team. Track call activity and operational capacity using analytics tools. Implement quality control measures to ensure compliance with AbbVie standards. Drive professional development for direct reports. Qualifications 3+ years experience in coverage, coding, managed healthcare, and/or market access for immunology products (including payer account management). 2 years leadership experience (3+ preferred) with proven team/talent development. Proven coaching and strategic/territory account management skills. Ability to coach/train and communicate complex reimbursement policies. Deep understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D reimbursement; specialty drug acquisition and distribution. Proven ability to navigate regulatory requirements and mitigate compliance risks. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. Travel up to 75%.
