We are seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join a high-volume, upscale steakhouse in Houston, TX.

This is an opportunity for a hands-on hospitality leader who understands elevated service, high-volume restaurant operations, and the importance of developing a strong team while maintaining operational and financial discipline.

The ideal candidate brings experience in upscale dining, fine dining, premium steakhouse, luxury hospitality, or another high-service restaurant environment and is ready to play a key leadership role alongside the General Manager.

What You’ll Do

• Support the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations
• Maintain consistently high standards for guest service, hospitality, and overall restaurant presentation
• Lead and develop FOH teams through coaching, training, accountability, and ongoing development
• Build strong relationships with employees and create a positive, performance-driven culture
• Assist with scheduling, labor management, staffing, and shift execution
• Monitor restaurant performance and help maintain strong labor and operating costs
• Support food and beverage cost control, inventory, ordering, and waste management
• Assist with financial reporting, P&L accountability, and identifying opportunities to improve profitability
• Ensure compliance with company standards, health and safety requirements, and operating procedures
• Partner closely with culinary and service leadership to ensure smooth FOH/BOH communication
• Handle guest concerns professionally and ensure an elevated hospitality experience
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, performance management, and retention
• Lead by example during busy service periods and remain highly visible on the floor

What We’re Looking For

• Proven leadership experience in upscale, fine dining, premium steakhouse, luxury hospitality, or high-volume full-service restaurants
• Previous AGM, Assistant General Manager, Restaurant Manager, or comparable leadership experience
• Strong understanding of elevated guest service and hospitality standards
• Experience managing labor, scheduling, staffing, and team performance
• Working knowledge of restaurant financials, P&L, food and beverage costs, and inventory
• Strong communication, coaching, and people-development skills
• Ability to remain composed and decisive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Hands-on leadership style with strong attention to detail
• Ability to partner effectively with both FOH and BOH leadership
• Strong business acumen with a focus on operational excellence and profitability
