Seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to provide hands-on mechanical support for custom automation equipment at customer sites and internal facilities. The role involves installation, troubleshooting, repair, equipment integration, and customer support.







Job Title: Field Equipment Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical automation equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Perform mechanical adjustments, repairs, retrofits, and equipment upgrades.
• Provide technical guidance to customers on equipment operation and maintenance.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Create or modify drawings, sketches, and BOMs using AutoCAD and SOLIDWORKS.
• Support system debug and integration with machinists, electricians, controls engineers, and project teams.
• Perform basic mechanical calculations involving forces, loads, speeds, and mechanical performance.
• Specify replacement components and support service-related engineering activities.
• Prepare detailed service and technical reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, customer requirements, and engineering practices.
• Communicate technical findings, progress, and risks to customers and internal teams.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related field required.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with mechanical automation equipment, custom machinery, or industrial systems.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, bearings, drives, and structural components.
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical equipment issues in field environments.
• Proficiency with hand tools, machine tools, and testing instruments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness to travel extensively, typically 50 60% annually.
