Qualifications and Requirements:

• Arizona Special Education (SPED) teaching license (required)
• ELA certification to effectively support literacy and communication skills
• Valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Previous experience as a Special Education Teacher preferred, especially in a resource room setting or with high school students
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction in an inclusive resource room environment, ensuring accommodations and modifications are in place for each learner
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student’s unique goals and strengths
• Track and assess student progress, compiling data to inform instructional decisions and IEP meetings
• Support students’ academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs in alignment with ELA standards
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with district and state regulations
• Engage in ongoing professional development and training as needed
