Cardiology Physician

A healthcare system is seeking a Board-Certified Non-Invasive Cardiologist for locum tenens coverage to support staffing needs during recruitment.
$400/hr
Position Details

Specialty: Non-Invasive Cardiology Practice Setting: Inpatient, Outpatient, Clinic, and Call Coverage Type: Locum Tenens Start Date: ASAP Duration: Ongoing until permanent provider is onboarded
Schedule

Full-time coverage required Monday Friday + call Call ratio: 1:6 Patient Volume Clinic: 10 patients per day Inpatient admissions: per day Patient Population Adult and geriatric
Clinical Responsibilities

Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care Perform electrocardiograms (EKGs) Participate in call coverage Supervise 4 APCs
Practice Environment

Collaborative team structure 1 cardiologist in group Additional cardiologist support present during coverage APPs work independently but require physician oversight EMR: Epic
Credentialing

Estimated timeframe: 120 days Temporary privileges available with clean background
Travel

Local providers only Mileage reimbursed
Requirements

Board Certified required Active Virginia license or IMLC (LOQ required) required DEA required ACLS required VAD Certified required Advanced Heart Failure fellowship with LVAD experience required Must be local required Clean background required Self-Query NPDB (within 30 days) required at presentation
