The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation. Job Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and standards. Ensure the quality and presentation of food meets restaurant standards. Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies. Maintain a clean and organized work area, following health and safety guidelines. Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking supplies. Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service. Monitor food temperatures and ensure proper food handling practices. Adhere to portion control and waste reduction guidelines. Assist in the training of new kitchen staff as needed. Communicate effectively with the Head Chef/Kitchen Manager regarding any issues or concerns. Perform other duties, as assigned. Pay $18–$19/hour plus tips, $5–9 an hour Schedule Friday 9:30–6 Saturday 9:30–6 Monday 9:30–6 Tuesday 9:30–6 32 hrs, full time. Required Skills & Abilities Proven experience as a Prep Cook or similar role in a fast‑paced restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Excellent organizational and multitasking skills. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Flexible schedule, including availability on weekends and holidays. Good communication and teamwork skills. Other Requirements Availability to work around peak hours, including nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Must retain a reasonably open availability, including weekends, and be willing to meet the current needs of the shop.
