Staff Accountant

Motive Workforce is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join a growing advanced manufacturing organization in Long Beach. This position will support a fast-paced contract manufacturing operation and play a key role across general accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, cash management, inventory accounting, and month-end close. The Staff Accountant will work closely with operations, procurement, supply chain, and leadership to maintain accurate financial reporting and strengthen accounting processes and controls. The ideal candidate brings a strong accounting foundation along with direct experience in a manufacturing, aerospace, industrial, consumer products, or distribution environment. What You'll Do Participate in month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close. Prepare journal entries, accruals, and adjusting entries. Maintain the general ledger and perform balance sheet and income statement reconciliations. Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting. Ensure accounting activities comply with U.S. GAAP. Oversee full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice review, coding, approvals, vendor payments, and reconciliations. Manage 2-way and 3-way matching and monitor AP aging. Prepare check runs and process ACH and wire payments. Maintain vendor records and assist with 1099 reporting. Administer and reconcile corporate credit card and employee expense activity. Support inventory accounting, cycle counts, physical inventory, inventory valuation, reserves, and adjustments. Assist with standard cost updates, manufacturing cost analysis, gross margin, and product profitability analysis. Prepare bank reconciliations and support cash forecasting and cash-flow analysis. Support internal and external audits and strengthen accounting controls and procedures. Participate in ERP implementation, upgrades, testing, and process optimization. Partner with Operations, Production, Purchasing, Quality, HR, and Supply Chain on accounting and reporting needs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
