Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency RoomThe Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room (ER) will function primarily in direct patient care, demonstrating competent clinical practice. The RN will triage patients, obtain patient history and vital signs, and assess patients. Acting independently to initiate immediate care in life-threatening situations is essential. This position involves providing care for both acutely ill and non-acute patients, performing various nursing procedures, and assisting physicians with procedures as necessary.ResponsibilitiesPerform nursing assessments, intervene appropriately, and participate in care planning.Regularly assess patient/client needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician's plan of care.Process physician/provider orders accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring follow-up on medication changes and order clarifications.Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment plans and facilitate necessary changes to improve patient care.Actively participate in updating the treatment plan in collaboration with team members.Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure2+ years of ER experience [REQUIRED]Travel experience [PREFERRED]Epic experience [PREFERRED]Current Skills Checklist pertinent to the specialty (ER) [REQUIRED]2 Supervisory Reference Forms completed within the last two years [REQUIRED]Active American Heart Association BLS [REQUIRED]Active American Heart Association ACLS [REQUIRED]Active Michigan/MI License (LARA and/or Nursys verification required) [REQUIRED]ScheduleThis is a 13-week contract position with a shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, guaranteeing 36 hours per week.
