RN - ICU

ICU RN Position - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

We are seeking a qualified ICU RN to provide critical care nursing in our intensive care unit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate efficient management of patients with endovascular devices (EVD), multiple medication drips, and trauma patients of varying severities. The role includes performing patient assessments and adhering to strict isolation precautions as per facility protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Manage critically ill patients, utilizing EVD and medication infusion management.
• Conduct thorough patient assessments utilizing CAM, CPOT, and RASS.
• Provide care for patients undergoing hypothermia treatment and manage pleurevac chest tube drainage.
• Utilize Allscripts EMR for efficient documentation and patient management.
• Observe strict hand hygiene and infection control practices.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• BSN or higher degree from an accredited nursing school.
• New York State RN License or licensure by reciprocity.
• Minimum of 3 years ICU nursing experience preferred.
• Certifications: AHA BCLS, ACLS, and PALS required upon offer.
• Preferred certifications: CCRN and TNCC.
