Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of Telemetry experience required License: Current RN License in the state Certifications: BLS from AHA only; NIHSS certification must be obtained prior to start Must-Have Skills/Experience: 1 year Telemetry experience, inpatient only Experience and competence in drug titration Description: This position requires providing direct patient care activities for all age groups. Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care providers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties in a manner consistent with mission and values. The work environment demands standing and walking for most of the shift. Requires bending, stooping, and lifting patients with assistance. May require work on differing schedules, shifts, and days of the week. There is a high risk of exposure to blood and body fluids. Physical demands include pushing, pulling, and gripping up to 50 lbs. Utilizes nursing processes to provide care for patients post trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. Evidence of prior experience is required for consideration for this position.
