- Background in biomedical engineering or neuroscience research, medical devices, and interaction with patients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Data analysis and programming skills using MATLAB, python, and/or other programming languages.
- Ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot hardware with force and magnetic sensors.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as MATLAB, Python, and the ability to pick up various computer-based applications and data analysis tools, as well as troubleshooting hardware issues with sensors.
- Ability to function independently with a high degree of self-motivation.
- Interpersonal skills needed to interact with patients and healthy research participants.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate within and outside the team.

- assembling hardware and troubleshooting electronic issues

- participating in design of human psychophysical experiments
- programming human-subject experiments with Python, MATLAB, C++
- maintaining and troubleshooting testing equipment
