The RN assumes responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on need of the patient and family members. The RN directs care according to established standards of safety, risk management, IQ, Infection control, with the goal being to discharge the patient from the ED with an optimum level of care provided.QualificationsEducation: Minimum: Education recognized by the State of Florida as qualification for Registered Nurse licensure.One (1) year experience in a Med/Surg area orPreferred: Two (2) years' experience in an Emergency Room settingRequired Certification/Licensure/Registration:Registered Nurse - licensed in the State of Florida.American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certificationPALS are required within one year of employment.Hazmat preferred, but not requiredCrisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) required within six months of employment.TNCC is required within 18 months of employment in the position.ENPC is strongly encouraged.CEN preferred, but not requiredOrganization DescriptionDelray Medical Center, part of the Palm Beach Health Network, is a 536-bed acute care hospital spanning 30 acres, employing over 1,700 employees, 700 physicians and serving southern Palm Beach County for over 40 years.
