Whether you work in our state-of-the-art Casino, our beautiful Resort, or become a staff member in our Tribal Government division, you will be part of the Sycuan family.Job PurposeCreates bakery items for guest consumptionJob Duties and Responsibilities:(Note: Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, or changed at the sole discretion of Sycuan Management at any time)Provides guests with baked goods by following recipes according to established standards and as projected on menus or catering request, preparing food product according to production sheets, measuring, mixing, baking and decorating baked goods, portioning and delivering baked goods, ensuring all baked goods are replenished as needed, and storing product according to established procedures.Maintains efficient operation of the Bakery area by following food production sheets and recipes, regulating food product utilization, checking food products for temperature and freshness, rotating food items as needed and communicating standard to the bakery personnel, assisting other bakers as needed, and communicating relevant information between shifts.Maintains safe and sanitary area by checking food products for appropriate temperature and freshness, replenishing and rotating food items as necessary, following correct food cooling and storage procedures, and cleaning and organizing work according to established procedures.Assists in caterings on both on and off-site events by creating dessert trays as needed, assisting in the set-up, execution and break down of events.Job SpecificationsEducation and ExperienceEssentialCounty of San Diego Food Handler CardCA ABC Responsible Beverage Service Certification1-year baking experience in a high-volume restaurantDesirable:High School Diploma, High School Certificate of Completion, or G.E.D.Guest Service or Hospitality experienceCulinary degree or equivalent experienceSkills and KnowledgeEssential:Working knowledge of safe food handling practicesAbility to work effectively with team members and guestsAbility to communicate effectively in the English languageAbility to follow recipes and read production sheetsAbility to maintain professionalism and composureAbility to perform simple mathematical calculationsAbility to understand verbal directives and written instructionsAbility to routinely lift and carry 50 poundsAbility to accept constructive criticismAbility to stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a timeAbility to bend, stoop, push and pullAbility to perform repetitive tasksAbility to appear for work on timeDesirable:Multi-lingualSupervisory/ Managerial Accountability:Direct: NoneIndirect: NoneIf you enjoy being part of a community dedicated to creating a memorable guest experience, we invite you to explore career opportunities with Sycuan and join our winning team!
