Registered Nurse (RN) – Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)Location: Torrance, CA (Harbor-UCLA Medical Center)Job Type: Travel / Local ContractShift / Schedule: 12-Hour Days (36 hours/week)Pay Range: $2,273.33 – $2,674.50 per weekPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse (RN) for an assignment at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, CA. This position offers immediate interviews for qualified candidates looking to work within a high-volume Level I Trauma Center.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high-level, specialized care to surgical patients as they awaken from general, regional, or local anesthesia.Monitor vital signs, airway stability, pain levels, and surgical site recovery in accordance with PACU standards.Manage post-operative complications and administer specialized medications or interventions as required.Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams to ensure smooth patient transitions.Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation within the EMR system.Qualifications & RequirementsLicensure: Active California RN License.Experience: Minimum of 1–2 years of recent PACU or critical care experience; Level I Trauma experience preferred.Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, MAB (Managing Assaultive Behavior), and LA Fire Safety certification.Additional Requirements: Live Scan fingerprinting completed on-site in LA County prior to orientation.Benefits PackageComprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage401(k) Retirement PlanWeekly direct depositHousing and meal stipends (for eligible travel candidates)Dedicated 24/7 recruiter support throughout your assignmentWho We AreNuWest places healthcare professionals in some of the most competitive markets, at award-winning facilities, earning top pay.
