Inpatient Therapist PRN, Behavioral Health

PRN Days Mesa Springs, part of Lifepoint Health, is looking for an Inpatient Therapist to join our team on a PRN basis. How you'll contribute Conduct individual and group therapy sessions to educate patients regarding psychological, emotional, or substance abuse problems. Display active involvement in the treatment planning process. Provide family session counseling to ensure appropriate communication and involvement of family members and support groups. Actively communicate with clients, families, and outside referral sources. Demonstrate proactive communication with those involved in the patient's treatment. Work well with the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, utilization review, and nursing staff members. Demonstrate active communication with team members. Effectively communicate to UR regarding treatment and LOS issues. Complete appropriate paperwork for clients in a timely, accurate, and complete manner. Demonstrate appropriate crisis intervention and de‑escalation skills. Act as a member of the team when a crisis situation occurs, assisting others to ensure patient safety. Complete accurate assessments of patients utilizing clinical skills. Assist the care coordination department as requested. Complete all documentation thoroughly, timely, and in accordance with hospital standards. Display a thorough knowledge of confidentiality. Complete releases appropriately. Demonstrate knowledge of HIPAA regulations and abide by those standards. Demonstrate working knowledge of all clinical regulations, including TJC, Medicaid, and state and federal laws. Display active involvement in the discharge, transition, and after‑care planning treatment processes. Other duties as assigned. What we're looking for Master's degree in social work or counseling. Current, unencumbered clinical or social work license as required by state regulations. Previous experience with psychiatric and chemical dependency patients.
