Pay Rate: $27.77/hr

Maintenance Mechanics are responsible for repair and maintenance of machinery, plumbing, physical structures and fixtures of
all aspects of the operation performing any combination of the following duties:

? Inspects machinery and equipment for defects
? Repairs machines or equipment, dismantling as necessary to gain access to defective parts
? Reassembles machinery making the necessary adjustments to ensure efficient or proper operation
? Removes, installs, makes modification to machinery or equipment as required
? Uses blueprints, drawings, manuals or other specifications to perform the required job
? Operate and repair plant support machinery, boilers, softener, compressors etc
? Test fuses and have some experience in welding, soldering and brazing and shop machines
? Handle major repairs and liaison with contractors as required
? Develop and implement preventative/ predictive maintenance on all machinery and equipment
? Maintain a safe and tidy work environment with regular housekeeping and use of PPE
? Actively participate in training of apprentices and co-workers in gaining new skills
? Actively participate in Continuous Improvement Program
? Participation in the 5S program
? All other related duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS of this Maintenance Mechanic:
? HS diploma or equivalent.
? 3 to 5 years industrial manufacturing experience.
? Good basic mechanical knowledge and application of compressed air, hydraulics and pneumatics,
basic electrical, welding, pumps and preventative maintenance.
? Good understanding of the demands of production and knowledge of EPP processing.
? Knowledge and application of Kurtz and Teubert steam chest molding machines.
? Able to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively.
? Able to read and interpret technical drawings.
? Must be a Team Player and able to work with minimal supervision.
? Must have own tools (as defined by the Company).
? Must meet the physical requirements of the job.
? Good communication skills.
? Above average welding skills are an asset.
? Certification for operating Lift Trucks and Aerial Lift equipment in a safe manner and able to pass
medical evaluation based on provincial standards.
? Able to work off shifts and overtime as required.

1st shift: 7 am - 3:30 pm

2nd shift: 3pm - 11:30 pm

3rd shift: 11pm - 7:30 am (Note: Sunday will be 12 hours - start at 7 pm due to plant start up)
