The Local Administrative Specialist will work within the Indiana Department of Healths Mobile Response Operations Mobile Teams. The specialist will serve in a designated geographical area in the state of Indiana. The role involves coordinating with team members and management to assist with public health coordinated outreach and conduct of vaccine and testing locations. The specialist will be responsible for registering individuals for testing or vaccines on designated websites. The role also involves assisting in the setup and demobilization of resources, and tracking resources used by the team. The specialist will need to adapt to different community environments across the state. Responsibilities also include assisting in crowd control and maintaining proficiency in procedures for their position through in-person and digital training. The specialist will need to demonstrate the ability to use all technical registration/computer systems used by the team. The role will not involve supervising other individuals. The job can require daily travel to different locations and working at different times of the day. The specialist will need to be able to lift items of at least 20 pounds and handle stress professionally. The role involves working independently and making wise decisions concerning program conduct. The specialist will report directly to a Mobile Response Lead and serve as a vital member of the team. The job can involve physical strain, including standing for long periods and traveling in a Mobile Unit. The specialist must be able to work in all weather conditions and on a flexible schedule, including weekends.
