Ultrasound Technician

The Ultrasound Tech performs duties directly involved with a variety of technical procedures for the demonstration/evaluation of general, obstetrical, vascular, and small parts imaging. Assists in invasive procedures as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum education per licensure requirement
• Prefer at least one year performing all radiographic procedures in a hospital setting with competency in all ultrasound specialties
• Must be either ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI certified
• ARDMS eligible is acceptable, but certification is expected within six months of hire unless an extension is granted
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Healthcare Provider course according to RQI program guidelines must be completed during new hire orientation prior to working in a clinical setting
• All licenses and certifications must be kept current
• Must be capable of making independent decisions, work under stress at times, and have good interpersonal skills
