Position: Spotter Truck Operator
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour

The Spotter Truck Operator is responsible for safely moving, positioning, and staging trailers within the yard of a distribution or warehouse facility. This role supports dock operations by ensuring trailers are accurately placed at dock doors and organized within the yard to maintain efficient workflow.

• Move trailers between yard locations and dock doors using a spotter truck
• Spot, stage, and align trailers for loading and unloading
• Perform basic safety checks on trailers before moving
• Communicate with dock staff and supervisors regarding trailer placement
• Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient yard environment
• Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and traffic rules within the yard

• Previous yard dog or spotter truck experience preferred
• Valid driver's license required (CDL not typically required)
• Ability to operate a spotter truck safely and efficiently
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable attendance and punctuality

• Ability to climb in and out of the spotter truck repeatedly
• Ability to sit for extended periods and perform light physical activity
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Outdoor yard and warehouse settings
• Exposure to weather elements and moving equipment
