SUMMARY: The Marketing Specialist I serves as the operational backbone of the marketing department, responsible for coordinating campaigns, promotions, and cross-functional workflows. This role ensures all marketing initiatives are executed efficiently, on time, and aligned across departments. This is an entry-level marketing operations role, focused on execution, organization, and communication rather than strategy ownership. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate marketing projects from intake through execution, ensuring deadlines, approvals, and deliverables are met.
- Manage and maintain the marketing calendar across campaigns, events and promotions
- Route creative requests and ensure proper communication between marketing, design, database and vendors
- Track project status and identify potential delays or gaps in execution
- Support execution of promotions, events and initiatives across the property
- Coordinate logistics including materials, signage and internal communications
- Provide on-site event support (setup, coordination, guest engagement)
- Ensure all materials are properly distributed and displayed
- Coordinate campaign elements across teams to ensure alignment
- Support database and marketing teams with campaign setup and execution
- Serve as a liaison with internal departments and external vendors
- Assist with documentation, compliance, and communication of promotional rules and procedures
- Ensure marketing materials, signage, and collateral are properly distributed and displayed for promotions and events.
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold LCCR's "7 Waterways" of guest service standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support marketing department goals.

- Accountable to team members and the organization, for example, attends all meetings and trainings.
- Display sensitivity to Native American Culture and actively seek to learn more about the Squaxin Island Tribe.
- Operate within the parameters of the Little Creek Casino Resort Human Resources' policies, departmental policies, and all other applicable regulations.
- Practice, support, and maintain the mission, vision, and values of Little Creek Casino Resort (LCCR).
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned to support the success of LCCR.
- Learn and implement LCCR's "7 Waterways" of best guest practices.
- Build upon and diligently practice personal emotional intelligence, including self-awareness, self-management, self-regulation, social awareness, and relationship management.
- Demonstrate emotional intelligence in your explicit behaviors in your interpersonal work relationships with all team members, managers and supervisors, and our guests.

- Computer Skills:
- Proficient in PC based computer systems, including Microsoft Office products, Word, Excel,
- Power Point, Windows, Database applications, spreadsheet development, mainframe applications, etc.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communication, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- At least two years' experience in marketing and/or promotions planning and execution; preferred.
- A combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Gaming License issued from the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission
- Requires a Valid Washington State Driver License and must be insurable on the Tribe's insurance.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Must be able to frequently sit, stand, and walk.
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration.
