Position OverviewDepartment: Outpatient Physical Therapy
Schedule: Day/Evening shifts, 8 hours, Monday to Friday
Facility: Orthopedic Services
Location: Auburn, ME 04210

Position Highlights- Outpatient setting within a hospital environment.
- Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system integrated with all healthcare providers in the region.
- Practice hours are weekdays from 7 AM to 5:30 PM.
- Focus on personalized patient care.
- One-on-one therapy sessions.
- No double bookings or overlapping appointments.
- Schedule managed by therapists.

Key ResponsibilitiesThe role involves delivering medically prescribed physical therapy services aimed at evaluating, treating, and restoring patient function, enhancing mobility, alleviating pain, and preventing disabilities. Care is provided in alignment with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and evidence-based practices.
- Conduct patient evaluations and physical therapy assessments.
- Create and implement tailored treatment plans.
- Administer therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation and functional enhancement.
- Track patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary.
- Educate patients and their families about treatment strategies and recovery objectives.
- Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, licensing, and patient safety standards.
Education, Experience, and Training:
- A Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctorate, or Certificate in Physical Therapy.
- A valid state Physical Therapy license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification from the American Heart Association upon hire, with maintenance of certification required.
