Mammographer

Role: Provides mammography imaging services, operating equipment, preparing patients, and ensuring high-quality images. Explains procedures, educates patients on breast health, and follows safety guidelines. Maintains equipment and department cleanliness, reports malfunctions, and performs additional duties as needed. Qualifications & Skills: Completion of a Radiology Technology program with ARRT-R and ARRT-M certifications within 12 months. No prior experience required. Physical ability for frequent standing, lifting, patient handling, and data entry. Knowledge of radiation safety and image quality standards. Licenses & Certifications: BLS Healthcare Provider, ARRT-R, ARRT-M, and state-specific radiologic licenses. Cross training available; tuition benefits offered for additional certifications. Key Duties Operate mammography equipment and perform procedures. Position patients and select technical parameters. Ensure image quality and proper documentation.
