Veterinary Technician - Critical Care

BluePearl Pet Hospital, Brentwood, TN Hiring experienced Critical Care Veterinary Technicians. Qualified applicants will have a minimum of 3 years of experience and be an LVMT. Up to $1,000 sign‑on bonus for qualified applicants Pay: $21.00 - $41.00 / hour Shift: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 7am‑7pm This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our leveling system. We also offer competitive shift differential pay for eligible hours worked for nights and weekends. Shift differentials are based on a 4‑hour minimum. Weekday Night (Mon‑Fri 6p‑8a): $3.00 Weekend Day (Sat‑Sun 8a‑6p): $3.00 Weekend Night (Sat‑Sun 6p‑8a): $4.50 If you are one of those technicians that loves emergency cases, providing care and comfort to the critically ill or injured patient, we are the place for you! The successful candidate will work alongside our team of experienced technicians, assistants, ER doctors, and specialists providing remarkable care for pets. As a Critical Care Technician, you will: Work in collaboration with our boarded criticalists, skilled technicians, and assistants to provide high quality, progressive medical care to your patients. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR. Place IVCs and advanced catheters like central lines, PICC lines, and arterial catheters. Use advanced monitoring like direct arterial blood pressure, capnography, and continuous telemetry. Assist in the ICU, including monitoring and caring for patients receiving mechanical ventilation and other critical patients. Have a passion for mentoring and training other co‑workers.
