The Opportunity The Senior Cloud and Infrastructure Specialist is a senior, hands‑on technical role responsible for the design, implementation, operation, security, and optimization of cloud and infrastructure platforms across enterprise environments. This position supports business‑critical systems by ensuring availability, performance, security, and cost efficiency of hybrid infrastructure services. It serves as a technical authority and Tier‑3 escalation point, contributing to architecture, automation, security, and continuous improvement initiatives. Location: Lake Mary, FL (On‑site) What You’ll Do This role requires approximately 15% of time on client help desk support and 75% on cloud systems administration and projects. Scope & Focus Owns cloud and infrastructure architecture and standards Drives modernization, standardization, and long‑term roadmaps Acts as the highest technical escalation point for Cloud and Infrastructure Key Responsibilities Define cloud and infrastructure architecture, standards, and blueprints Leads hands‑on cloud and infrastructure engineering initiatives Supports enterprise‑scale, hybrid IT environments Provides strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communications skills Works independently and leads technical initiatives Leads major platform initiatives and modernization programs Partners with security, applications, and business stakeholders Evaluates and selects technologies, vendors, and platforms Guides cost optimization, resilience, and security strategy Provides mentorship and technical leadership across teams Leadership & Collaboration Serves as senior technical escalation point for Infrastructure and Cloud issues Mentors junior engineers and sysadmins; contributes to technical standards and documentation Supports change management, user adoption, and enterprise IT initiatives Supportive Functions Work on projects as necessary Alternate on‑call and off‑call schedules with other administrators Other Duties Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned. Regular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by Village Farms International, Inc. from time to time, is essential to the successful performance of this position. Safety Requirements Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may present a risk to health or safety. The company will provide the required PPE. Employees will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE, and it is their responsibility to report defective, damaged, or lost PPE or equipment that does not fit properly to their supervisor. What You Bring Education Bachelor’s degree in a computer or related field Technical Skills 15+ years of expertise across cloud and infrastructure Deep expertise in hybrid environments, firewalls, network, WAPs Proficiency with cloud platforms: Nutanix, GCP, AWS, and Azure Server, storage, and virtualization administration Monitoring, patching, backups, and routine maintenance Microsoft 365 & Identity management Large‑scale, multi‑site enterprise environments Disaster recovery and business continuity design Backup strategies and recovery planning Professional Skills Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders Experience in enterprise IT, regulated, or security‑focused environments Proven ability to work independently and lead initiatives Preferred Qualifications Nutanix certifications (administration or advanced operations) Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104) or AZ‑305 Google Cloud Platform Advanced / Professional Level Familiarity with ITIL, change management, or enterprise governance models Benefits Company‑paid comprehensive benefits and education assistance to support your growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr Village Farms International Inc.
