Senior Java Software Engineer

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent (W2) Work Authorization: US work authorization required (no visa sponsorship available) We’re hiring a Senior Java Platform Engineer to build a large-scale developer platform for a leading global investment bank. The platform automates software remediation across thousands of repositories — identifying vulnerable dependencies, updating code, running changes through CI/CD, and generating validated pull requests. This is a hands-on backend/platform engineering role , not a traditional CRUD position. What You'll Do Build Java 21 / Spring Boot services and APIs Design scalable distributed backend systems Build automation around Maven, Gradle, Git and CI/CD Run services and automated workloads on Kubernetes / AWS Develop tooling for dependency upgrades and code remediation Work with technologies such as OpenRewrite, Renovate and SBOM/security scanning Own solutions from design through production What We're Looking For Strong hands-on Java / Spring Boot experience Experience with backend services, microservices or distributed systems Strong understanding of Core Java, concurrency and performance Experience with Maven or Gradle Experience with Kubernetes, containers and CI/CD Strong debugging and software design skills Useful, but not required OpenRewrite or Renovate Developer tooling / platform engineering Vulnerability management or application security AWS Banking or financial services AI/LLM integrations Why Join?
