Apprentice Electrician

The Apprentice Electrician assists licensed electricians in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems within a mission-critical data center environment. This position provides hands-on training while supporting high-availability power infrastructure, including distribution systems, backup generation, and critical cooling equipment. Key Responsibilities Assist journeyman with installation of electrical systems Install and secure conduit (EMT, PVC, RMC) and cable tray systems Pull wire and assist with terminations under supervision Support installation of switchgear, transformers, PDUs, UPS systems, and generators Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) and safety procedures at all times Read and interpret basic blueprints and electrical drawings Perform material handling and inventory tasks Assist with testing and troubleshooting of electrical components Document work performed as directed Prioritize facility security Required Qualifications Ability to use basic hand and power tools Strong attention to detail Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision Reliable transportation and punctual attendance Safety Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial or industrial construction Exposure to 3-phase power systems OSHA 10 certification Experience working in data centers or other mission-critical environments Physical Requirements Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces Prolonged standing, kneeling, and bending Ability to work flexible shifts if required High-security, mission-critical data center facility Strict safety and operational compliance standards Fast-paced construction or maintenance setting #J-18808-Ljbffr Tailwind Applied Sciences
