Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of ER experience required; must have at least 6 months of Trauma Level 1 experience. License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Must-Have: 2 years of ER experience; must pass required exams prior to starting. Description: Emergency Room Registered Nurse position available with a focus on trauma and acute care. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience, with at least 6 months in a Trauma Level 1 setting. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed. Nurses will be expected to manage various emergency situations, including trauma, burns, and pediatric cases. Successful candidates will demonstrate competency in medical procedures, including maintaining sterile fields. Responsibilities include assessment, patient education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Expect a patient ratio of 1:4. Continuous education on equipment and policies is necessary due to varying facility standards. Additional training may be provided in lifts, restraints, and wound care. Dedicated staff support includes Charge Nurses and Nurse Aides to ensure optimal patient care. Candidates must have strong critical thinking and communication skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Floating to other facilities may be required, and transportation is necessary.
