Step into a role where your expertise as a Speech-Language Pathologist can profoundly impact students’ lives. This contract position offers the chance to make a real difference across two supportive high school environments and one engaging elementary setting, all in the Springfield area, for the 2026–2027 academic year. Beginning in early September and running through mid-June, you’ll work a steady 40 hours per week, dedicating part of your time at each campus to promote communication and life skills in a diverse caseload of about 33 students.

Ideal candidates bring an SLP-CCC and a passion for collaborating on student progress, especially in life skills programming. While previous experience with feeding and swallowing (safe eating) or AAC is welcome, comprehensive training is available if you’re eager to grow in these areas. You’ll be surrounded by a robust support system, including monthly meetings and virtual connections with a team of 12 SLPs, plus daily collaboration with paraprofessionals and special education staff.

Key Qualifications:

• Current SLP-CCC
• Experience with, or willingness to learn, feeding and swallowing protocols and AAC technology
• Commitment to working onsite; no virtual or hybrid options
• Enthusiasm for working with students in life skills and socialization programs
• Strong independent and collaborative skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver speech and language services across two high schools and one elementary site
• Support safe feeding and social communication, tailoring interventions to meet individual needs
• Collaborate with educators, assistants, and SLP peers to ensure student success
• Participate in ongoing professional development and team meetings
