Outside Sales Representative

Builders FirstSource, America's largest supplier of building materials, value-added components and building services to the professional market, is looking for an experienced Outside Sales Representative to join our team in Eastern Idaho. This role is ideal for a driven, customer-focused professional who enjoys working directly with builders, contractors, developers, architects, and project managers while creating opportunities for long-term business growth.

As a key member of our sales team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers, leveraging your industry expertise to identify needs, recommend solutions, and manage projects from concept through completion. You'll also play a leadership role by mentoring newer sales professionals and contributing to the ongoing success of the team.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years of successful sales experience.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and results-oriented with a strong customer-service mindset.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in building materials, construction products, lumber, windows, doors, roofing, siding, or related industries.
• Experience working with builders, contractors, architects, engineers, and project managers.
• Knowledge of residential, multifamily, and commercial construction projects.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements:

Work is performed in both office and outdoor environments and may involve exposure to varying weather conditions. Frequent travel within the assigned territory and customer locations is required. Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 80 pounds on occasion. Position requires driving and visiting customer job sites, offices, and project locations.
