Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 13-week cardiac cath lab assignment requiring 2+ years of experience and current ARRT and CCI credentials.

Details

• Work in a Cardiac Cath Lab unit within an acute care hospital setting
• 13-week assignment
• Shift options of 0645-1700 or 0700-1730
• Perform specialized imaging procedures including angio, complex vascular and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures
• Assist Radiologist/PA during procedures

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in a cardiac cath lab setting
• Current BLS certification (AHA) required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS certification required (AHA)
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential from CCI required within 180 days of hire
• Cardiographic Technician (CCT) credential from CCI required prior to start
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist (Radiography) credential required prior to start
• License required if applicable
• Current license verification with primary source verification required within 30 days prior to assignment start
• PALS certification preferred
• Proficiency in patient positioning, contrast media administration, and radiation safety protocols

Additional Information

• Responsible for preparing and positioning patients and selecting appropriate anatomic and technical imaging parameters
• Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and applicable regulations
• Monitor patients during procedures and report any abnormal activity
• Follow and recommend updates to imaging protocols as needed
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory agency imaging and safety standards
• Must possess a US Social Security Number and provide a US home address
• Radius rule applies which may affect eligibility for travel rate; local candidates may be considered at a reduced rate
• First-time travelers may be considered for this role
