Sr. Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Sotera Health Company is a leading global provider of mission‑critical sterilization, laboratory testing and advisory services for the healthcare industry. This role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager and is responsible for maintaining and repairing processing equipment within the facility. Responsibilities Perform routine daily maintenance activities for the facility and scheduled preventative maintenance on processing equipment. Identify problems, collect data, draw conclusions, recommend corrective action and carry out repairs in a timely manner to restore equipment to operational status. Identify materials needed, obtain pricing information, complete purchase orders and, with Supervisor approval, order materials. Interface with operations personnel regarding work orders and outside contractors, as necessary. Adhere to all facility safety programs. Lead on the production floor and exercise defined authority to make decisions as instructed. Project manage small projects in equipment enhancements and maintenance reliability programs at the direction of engineering as needed. Assist with other tasks assigned by Supervisor. Qualifications Technical degree or certificate (qualified electrician) or equivalent experience. 7 years of maintenance experience in a processing/manufacturing environment preferred. Strong language, mathematical and reasoning skills necessary to compute complex measurements and read detailed instructions and electrical/mechanical drawings. Knowledge of purchasing, 480‑volt 3‑phase power, ladder logic and electrical diagrams, electric motor control troubleshooting, mechanical systems troubleshooting. Ability to operate welding equipment and a cutting torch (gamma facilities). Ability to perform isotope loading (internal) in gamma facilities. Ability to perform instrument calibration, hand and power tools safe use. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; speak, read, write fluent English. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Medically approved for respirator use (EO) and able to tolerate exposure to high temperatures and high humidity (120°F and 60% RH for 20 minutes) (EO).
