Job Title: RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care Profession: RN Specialty: RN Registered / Licensed - Inpatient Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 6:45pm - 7:15am Experience: Minimum years of experience preferred in direct patient care License: RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN - Multi-state Compact Certifications: BLS - Basic Life Support, ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Must-Have: Ability to read, write, and speak the English language. Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills. Excellent time management and critical thinking skills. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment. Description: The RN Clinical Nurse Critical Care is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers. They ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and supported by a shared governance model. The framework for practice is guided by a professional practice model and evidence-based practice and research. All RN Clinical Nurses Critical Care are expected to be licensed and knowledgeable. They must uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the relevant state Professional Nurse Practice Act. They are responsible for implementing the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, they must uphold the voice of the patient and system policies. Core responsibilities include performing the nursing process which involves assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation of clinical care. They provide relationship-based, patient-centered care consistent with population-specific characteristics. They partner with patients and significant others, using appropriate methods for communication. Teamwork and collaboration are essential, as they coordinate safe quality patient care. Participation in performance improvement activities is expected, promoting safe, quality patient care. Professional development is prioritized, with required ongoing competency assessments and mandatory education. Promoting evidence-based practice and nursing research is crucial. They will participate in the development of protocols to achieve best practice outcomes. Support for efficient use of human and material resources is essential. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. All candidates must comply with relevant policies and standards of conduct.
