A leading pediatric teaching hospital with 359 beds is seeking a dedicated pharmacist to support its dynamic inpatient team. This hospital is a top-ten pediatric medical provider in the U.S. and the only pediatric medical center in its state. Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Job Type: Direct Hire

• Compound and dispense medications according to physician instructions.
• Consult with medical staff regarding drug interactions, patient histories, and medication usage.
• Respond to patient inquiries on medications and dosages.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy data recording, hospital security, and regulatory standards.
• Verify medication appropriateness based on diagnosis, weight, age, and body surface area.
• Identify and intervene in drug therapy issues including allergies, interactions, and adverse reactions.
• Suggest efficacious and cost-effective drug therapies as appropriate.
• Evaluate and manage non-formulary drug needs.
• Oversee the accurate preparation, labeling, and dispensing of medications.
• Prioritize and process medication orders efficiently.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to monitor and optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in training and education of patients, pharmacy staff, and students.
• Complete drug information requests and assist in drug utilization reviews.
• Manage medication procurement and inventory coordination.

• Current Arkansas pharmacy license required.
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient pharmacy experience preferred.
• IV experience or IV certification preferred.
• Board Certified Pharmacotherapy Specialist (BCPS) designation preferred.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
