We are a local franchise of the Mad Science Group, which has been providing science-themed programming for more than 30 years.The Assistant Manager is an integral member of the Mad Science team. He/she is responsible for tasks relating supporting the Operations Manager including staffing, marketing, customer communications and fulfillment of Mad Science programs. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the AM engages in a variety of activities related to client order processing, lead handling, data entry, customer communications, marketing campaigns and assists with staffing. The AM contributes to the sales and marketing efforts on a range of projects as well as driving processes essential to the company's day to day operations. Additionally, the AM will be certified as a Mad Science instructor and may perform or assist with Mad Science programming at client locations as required.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesAnswer phones and address customer inquiries; book Mad Science programs from inbound callsAssist with managing social media presence and email marketing campaignsAssisting and creating print marketing materials including flyers, ads for print publications, and program-related print materials such as registration flyersBe comfortable calling schools, daycares, etc to market our services and set up programsAssist with on-site administration of school programsAssists with training, coaching and hiring the Mad Science TeamServe as an instructor when necessaryDesired SkillsExcellent customer service and interpersonal skillsPrevious experience working with kids or in a school settingAbility to work independently and with minimal directionProficiency with Microsoft Office, and Google applicationsExperience managing online marketing campaigns and social media marketing, Google is a plus, but we will trainExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailEnergetic, outgoing and FUN personalityNo Science background is necessary, but you must be willing to learn!Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation, as we do outreach so you will periodically traveling in the area.PreferredPrevious experience in marketing, business management, supervising staff or comparable experience in a similar role desired.Work ScheduleWe are flexible on an exact work schedule, but we require 25-40 hrs per week M-F between the hours of 8:00AM and 5:30PM. All Managers also work a rotating weekend schedule of Saturday morning, (3-4 hours) 1-2 times per month.Salary & BenefitsSalary, is open, based upon your skills. A bonus program based on sales is available as well. Compensation: $22.00 - $28.00 per hourMad Science is a powerhouse brand with locations around the globe!
