Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to take ownership of the general ledger and month-end close process in a stable and collaborative environment. Reporting directly to company leadership, this role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and partnering closely with the AP/AR team and external service providers. Key Responsibilities Own the month-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Maintain the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Prepare and record recurring and adjusting journal entries. Manage credit card reconciliations and expense coding. Review and approve sales tax returns and related charges. Assist with financial reporting and preparation of month-end financial packages. Partner with the AP/AR team to ensure accurate and timely accounting records. Coordinate with third-party payroll providers and external partners as needed. Support the development and improvement of accounting processes and internal controls. Assist with special accounting projects and other responsibilities as the business grows. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required. 5+ years of accounting experience. Strong general ledger accounting experience. Hands‑on experience with month‑end close and journal entries. Experience performing bank reconciliations. Sales tax experience preferred. Experience with ERP or accounting software systems. Strong Microsoft Excel skills. Excellent organizational and time‑management skills. High attention to detail and accuracy.
