Job Summary

STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a SAP Revenue Recognition (RevRec) Consultant on behalf of our client in a Remote location. We are looking for an experienced SAP professional with strong hands-on expertise in Revenue Recognition and a solid understanding of revenue accounting processes.

The ideal candidate will have experience with SAP S/4HANA, Revenue Recognition, FI/GL, and SD/Billing , along with a strong understanding of ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15 . This role will support the design, configuration, integration, testing, and optimization of revenue recognition solutions while partnering closely with Finance, Accounting, Sales, Billing, and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support SAP Revenue Recognition implementations, enhancements, and production support.

• Gather business requirements and translate them into effective SAP RevRec solutions.

• Configure revenue contracts, performance obligations, allocation rules, and revenue recognition schedules.

• Support standalone selling price (SSP) allocation, deferred revenue, accrued/unbilled revenue, and revenue adjustments.

• Manage complex revenue scenarios, including contract modifications, renewals, cancellations, refunds, rebates, and discounts.

• Ensure seamless integration with SAP FI/GL, Accounts Receivable, SD, Billing, and Controlling .

• Troubleshoot revenue recognition errors and resolve accounting and reconciliation discrepancies.

• Support month-end, period-end, and year-end revenue close activities.

• Prepare functional specifications and coordinate with ABAP/development teams on enhancements.

• Develop test scenarios and support unit testing, SIT, UAT, integration, and regression testing.

• Support data migration and reconciliation of revenue contracts and historical revenue data.

• Create functional documentation, configuration guides, process flows, and user documentation.

• Ensure revenue recognition processes align with ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15 requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with SAP Revenue Recognition (RevRec) .

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance and/or SAP ERP environments.

• Strong knowledge of:

  • Revenue contracts and performance obligations

  • Revenue allocation and standalone selling price (SSP)

  • Contract assets and liabilities

  • Deferred and accrued/unbilled revenue

  • Revenue recognition schedules

  • Contract modifications

  • Billing and fulfillment events

  • Revenue adjustments and reversals

• Strong integration experience with SAP FI/GL and SD/Billing .

• Experience analyzing financial postings and performing revenue reconciliation.

• Hands-on experience with SAP configuration, functional specifications, testing, and production support.

• Strong understanding of ASC 606 and/or IFRS 15 revenue recognition principles.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Extensive experience working with SAP S/4HANA Revenue Recognition solutions.

• Experience supporting complex, high-volume revenue accounting environments.

• Experience working directly with Finance and Accounting stakeholders on revenue transformation initiatives.
