Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Medical-Surgical / Surgical Unit

Location: Janesville, Wisconsin

Facility: Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center - Janesville

Job Type: 13-Week Travel Contract

Shift: Nights (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM)

Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week

Pay Rate: $61-$66/hour


MTK Healthcare Inc. is seeking a dedicated Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Adult Medical-Surgical/Surgical Unit at Mercyhealth Hospital and Trauma Center in Janesville, WI. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RN to work in a collaborative, patient-focused environment using the EPIC electronic medical record system.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, hospital policies, and state nursing regulations.
• Monitor, assess, and accurately document patient conditions.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to promote patient safety and escalate concerns appropriately.
• Participate in quality improvement and shared governance initiatives.

Requirements

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) License.
• Current BLS/CPR Certification.
• Current NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
• Education verification required.
• Previous Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with EPIC EMR is a plus.
• Must be available to work 12-hour night shifts, every other weekend, and holidays as required.
