Surgical Technologist

Job Summary:
The Surgical Tech in the Operating Room is responsible for providing safe and effective patient care during surgical procedures. This role includes preparing, assembling, and maintaining surgical instruments and equipment, scrubbing in for various surgical cases, and ensuring the operating room environment is well-maintained. The Surgical Tech participates in 24-hour call coverage to support surgical team needs. Responsibilities:
- Prepare, assemble, and maintain operating room instrumentation and equipment.
- Scrub in and assist during a wide variety of surgical cases.
- Ensure safe and therapeutically effective patient care in the operating room.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
- Participate in 24-hour on-call coverage to support surgical procedures as needed.
- Washington State Surgical Tech license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification at time of hire.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
- Less than 1 year of experience acceptable.
- Experience in a variety of surgical specialties.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation and sterile techniques.
- Participation in 24-hour on-call coverage is required.
- Work performed primarily in an operating room environment.
- Shift assignments may include days, evenings, nights, and weekends based on surgical schedule and call requirements.
