The Federal and Special Initiatives Investment Lead works within the Department of Commerce's Housing Division to manage federal and state affordable housing funding programs, including HOME, National Housing Trust Fund, and special state initiatives. This technical expert role develops processes, writes funding notices, reviews applications, and serves as subject matter expert for federal program compliance and best practices. The position supervises staff and represents the state to HUD, developers, local governments, and stakeholders on affordable housing finance and development. Key qualifications 8 years combined experience in affordable housing finance, real estate underwriting, contracting, or policy analysis, with 4 years at advanced level structuring and closing multifamily transactions Intermediate to advanced proficiency with data management, data visualization, and process improvement tools Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to document processes and present to stakeholders and legislators Experience with Housing Trust Fund and federal HOME/NHTF program regulations (preferred) Knowledge of nonprofit financial reports, grant and loan administration, and collaborative team-based work environments (preferred) #J-18808-Ljbffr
