Travel Registered Nurse – Med/Surg Telemetry (Night Shift)

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 22-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a maximum patient ratio of 6:1
• Perform standard nursing skills including IV insertion, urinary catheter insertion and maintenance, and central line maintenance
• Administer medications and perform continuous bladder irrigation and nasogastric tube insertion and maintenance
• Accurately document patient care and clinical findings in the EMR system (Meditech)
• Communicate effectively with all members of the care team to ensure safe, patient-centered outcomes
• Float to Med/Surg units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• Minimum 1 year of acute Med/Surg experience within the last year
• Demonstrated ability to manage 4–6 patients simultaneously

Preferred Experience / Skills

• 2+ years of experience caring for neurological patients including CVA, TIA, and altered mental status presentations
• Background in neuro, neuro-surgery, or orthopedics
• Med/Surg Telemetry background
