Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking a Senior Assembly Advisement Workplace Coach (Level 4) to join Renton Wings team located in Renton, Washington .

737 Workplace Coaching is seeking an experienced structures SME to pass their knowledge and experience on to the next generation of Boeing workers. In addition to the items listed below, you will help with process improvements, tool creation and locating, and help with engineering changes as requested. You must be able to stay motivated and dedicated to your tasks with minimal supervision. You will be involved in problem solving, supporting mechanics on the floor, and learning new things every day. Come join our team! This position is for second shift Wings operations in Renton, WA.

Position Responsibilities:

  Uses manufacturing and assembly experience in structures for coaching structures mechanics, process improvement and problem solving in support of the Boeing Production System

\n
• \n

  Analyze and interpret performance and quality data to identify and mitigate the impact of changes on the production system. (e.g. CMES, CORRS, PAS, EPES, TMC, Velocity, Webart)

\n
• \n

  Conduct assessments of processes and practices, analyzes and interprets data for improvement opportunities

\n
• \n

  Provide feedback on assessment results and find opportunities for improvement and potential areas of risk

\n
• \n

  Analyze processes and support Boeing Production System problem solving, develop and document innovative solutions in support of area production goals

\n
• \n

  Assist manufacturing managers and team leads with Structured On the Job Training

\n
• \n

  Support training and coaching solutions to improve employee understanding and skills

\n
• \n

  Provide Subject Matter Expertise for specific manufacturing skill-sets

\n
• \n

  Provide instruction, positive modeling, and opportunities for observation in order to help team members and employees. Encourage questions to ensure understanding. Reinforces efforts and progress to improve mechanic confidence and skills

• \n

  Clarify expected behavior, knowledge, and level of proficiency by seeking, giving information, and checking for understanding

\n
• \n

  Establish good interpersonal relationships by helping team members and making internal employees feel valued, appreciated, and included in discussions

  Work at the appropriate level in the organization to implement strategies and plans

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

\n
• \n

  5+ years of experience with Structures Assembly and Mechanical Assembly

\n
• \n

  10+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment

\n
• \n

  Ability to work 2nd shift

\n

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

\n
• \n

  10+ years of experience with aircraft assembly processes, performing hands-on installation and/or assembly is desired (or an equivalent combination of education and experience as outlined above)

\n
• \n

  Demonstrated knowledge and expertise in aircraft assembly and inspection processes is critical

\n
• \n

  Experience and proficiency reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, specifications, and templates

\n
• \n

  Proficiency with MS Office applications

\n
• \n

  Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills

\n
• \n

  Possess manufacturing experience in one or more of the following areas:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $119,000 - $161,000
