Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Oncology Floor registered nurse position in a healthcare facility. This role involves providing patient care on an oncology unit, assisting providers with laboratory and diagnostic results, managing patient calls, and supporting overall patient care coordination.

Job Details:

• Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift
• Schedule: 8 hours daily, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid California Registered Nurse (RN) License, American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, 1 year of experience, location within California
• Preferred Qualifications: Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses (APHON) certification
• Float: Float rotation may be required to other UCSF facilities within a 75+ mile radius
• Additional Information:
  • Experience with pediatric oncology, infection prevention, monitoring chemotherapy, neutropenic precautions, and symptom management is preferred
  • Must have prior experience in a similar oncology setting
  • Modules are non-billable, vary between 1 to 24 hours, and are completed pre-start and annually
  • Start date: 10/12/2026, end date: 01/04/2027
  • Orientation begins at 4:00 PM Pacific Standard Time on the Monday prior to start date
  • Must provide employment history with dates worked, units, and manager names for rehire eligibility checks
  • Travel pairs are allowed but generally not on the same unit; married couples may not work on the same unit
