Maintenance Technician

What you'll do:

• Maintains professional working relationships with staff, vendors, and inspectors
• Assists with facility emergency preparedness drills
• Performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacements
• Interacts respectfully and positively with residents
• Monitors maintenance logs and documents repairs, inspections, and corrections
• Responds quickly to maintenance and emergency repair requests
• Supports upkeep of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) compliance
• Completes general maintenance tasks (carpentry, plumbing, painting, cleaning)
• Safely operates hand tools and small power tools
• Performs additional duties as assigned

What we're looking for:

• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English; Spanish is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least one year of maintenance experience (healthcare setting preferred)
• Able to move and work in various positions, including tight or confined spaces
• Comfortable working around body fluids and communicable diseases
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50-100 lbs. without assistance
• Capable of standing or walking for extended periods
• Adequate vision and hearing (with or without assistive devices) to perform duties
